this here is -------- -------- donahue. he's twenty-four years old and i'd prefer him to be a politician or celebrity and his play-by is chace crawford. for lack of a better name, we'll call him chace for now. you see, chace here grew up in new haven, connecticut, but every year during the summer, he and his family would live at their summer home in east hampton. this was where he met harlow golightly. the donahue's summer home was next door to the golightly's summer home and he was a year older than the golightly twins. their parents were pretty close and by default he became close friends with the girls. harlow, in particular, he became extremely close friends with. they were known to cause a great deal of trouble and we're always finding themselves in complicated situations. it's safe to say that they had always had some feelings for each other, but aside from a few kisses here and there, nothing ever really resulted from it.
the last couple years of high school, chace began dating a girl named vivian. his parents loved her, and they were essentially the definition of high school sweethearts. the only problem was, chace really didn't have much say in the relationship. he liked her, yes, maybe even love, but it wasn't really fun for him. there was so much pressure. from his family, from her family. in fact, shortly after graduation, he proposed, mainly to get his overbearing parents off his shoulders. the two married in a small but extravagant wedding a couple months later and moved to new york city. vivian had an internship waiting for her, and chace was heading to columbia for school.
this was when harlow and chace met again. she had just graduated from high school began taking business classes at columbia, while chace was starting his second year of school. the two old friends hit it off once again, and spent a lot of time together. they were strictly friends, minus a little flirting here or there, until one night they got drunk and slept together. both agreed it wouldn't happen again and to keep it a secret, but it did happen again. after a couple times of saying things wouldn't happen, they agreed that it was okay, as long as they kept it secret. two years, many late night meetings and dive bar dates later, they were still together. it hadn't bothered harlow at first, but she was beginning to feel guilty. they were both very much in love, but they both knew how wrong it was. he was still married, after all, and his naive wife had absolutely no idea that anything was going on. she had never even met harlow, anyways. it was the guilt that ended it though. one day, harlow couldn't handle it anymore. she left a note saying "i love you, but i can't do this anymore. i'm sorry - hg" and proceeded to leave the city. she had career opportunities waiting for her in the hamptons, and she needed to escape for a little while. not only was chace left a little broken-hearted, but his wife vivian found the note and flipped out. he tried to calm her down, but she filed for divorce and left him. to put it simply, it was not a good year for him.
so now, it's three years later, chace has finished college and he has just recently moved out to his family's home in east hampton. he wanted a break from the city and a little time to relax. of course, now, he runs into harlow, who's been living here for a little while. what happens next is really up to whoever plays him. i would absolutely love for him to be her final, but that really depends on how the two characters work together and i think it would take some time. i'd imagine he'd be a little upset with her. as for personality, it's really up to you. i don't imagine him really being a jackass or anything. i imagine him to be a bit of a sweetheart, but it's up to interpretation. as for his family history, that's also up to you. his parents are fairly overbearing, but if you'd like to change it, go for it. the play-by must be chace crawford unless you wanna run it by me and it's someone else i love. as for the name, it can be whatever as long as the last name is donahue. though, if you want my opinion, i personally like the names william, sebastian, maxwell, or alistaire.
as for the roleplayer, you must be active. i'd prefer someone who's intermediate to advanced and could post 500+ threads. you must be willing to both thread and use the in-character chat. if you need graphics, please ask. i'd be more than willing to make a set for you if needed. i would also prefer it if you had aim or msn so we could plot things out, but it's not vital. if you are interested, please post here or pm me with your name/alias, contact info[if you have aim/msn] and a roleplaying sample. thanks c:
