hello, my name is jade. i am seventeen years young and i consider myself an intermediate roleplayer. i found this site through angeline. so, here's an example of my average post:
Devon tugged impatiently at the dress she was wearing, rolling her eyes as her little brother laughed cruelly from her bed. She'd tried on three different outfits and none of them seemed right, Aiden seemed to find it hilarious while he and Alfie lay across the bed, watching her grow irritated with every passing minute. "It's really not funny, I don't want to be..too dressy, but I don't want to look like I didn't give a..damn about this date." Aiden shrugged unhelpfully and moved off her bed, picking Aspen up quickly and heading for the door, smirking at her. "It's bowling, you're hardly going somewhere fancy..just wear whatever, he's not going to care what you wear, stupid." And with that they were gone; what was the point in having a gay brother if he was useless at fashion? Rifling through her closet, Devon settled on casual..Dresses and skirts weren't going to get her very far, neither were heels for that matter. Wriggling out of the dress she'd stupidly tried on, Devon hung it back into her wardrobe carefully and pulled out a grey cardigan and plain white vest to wear underneath; before reaching into her drawers to pull out her jeans, she dressed quickly knowing that she was late enough and there really wasn't time for messing about with clothes. It was already half six, and she still had to take Aspen to his dad's and chase her little brother out of her apartment. Giving her room a speedy clean, she draped her scarf around her neck and pushed her bracelets over her hand and she practically ran from her room, stumbling slightly as she reached the living room. Grace and elegance didn't come natural to her and everyone knew it, but she was even more nervous than usual about tonight. Dorian had been her friend for a long time, she'd always liked him but when they first met - she was still with Dallas so she never thought twice about anything happening. The past week they'd been growing closer and she was scared..She didn't want it to blow up in their faces and ruin their friendship, but there was a bigger part of her that wanted him, so tonight was the night to see if anything..would happen.
Even as she carried Aspen to the car, with her little brother trailing slowly behind them, she couldn't even get too excited because of her nerves, it was ridiculous. THe bitter air wasn't doing much for her either, it was stressing her out more. There was no need for the stress regardless, it was just her and Dory having a good time..it didn't even have to be scary. So as she pulled up in front of Dallas's house and saw her twin brother's car parked out front, she couldn't even face going inside, instead Devon turned quickly to a protesting Aspen, wriggling in his car seat because he didn't want to spend the night with his dead. Smiling, she leaned close abd kissed his cheek quickly before asking Aiden to take him inside for her. Alright, so it was childish of her to do that, but she wanted to have fun..she didn't want to be in a bad mood all night. Waving at them as they made their way towards the house, she finally set off for timezone. They'd planned everything out, he was going to meet her there at seven as soon as she'd dropped Aspen off and then she was going to kick his ass at bowling whether he liked it or not. Every few minutes, her eyes dashed to the clock on her radio as she sang along to the songs blasting out of it loudly and couldn't help but smile. Despite what she'd thought, she was on time and as long as he wasn't there already, she'd be happy.
Slipping out her car as she reached timezone, she practically skipped to the entrance, mentally kicking herself for not having brought her gloves, but as the warm air inside hit her, she felt herself relaxing almost instantly. There were lots of people around, and she chewed her lip nervously while glancing around the room for him, smiling brightly as she watched him make his way over to her. Devon felt like a schoolgirl again as he made his way closer to her, the butterflies in her stomach darting all over the place. "Hey..Aww, well you're not looking so bad yourself. Dory cleans up good.." She kissed him back quickly, grinning brightly up at him as he pulled away again, shaking her head. "Don't be stupid, we both know I am soo kicking your butt tonight." Taking his hand willingly in hers, she laced their fingers and swung their arms gently while they walked to get their shoes. "You know..I was scared you were going to cancel or..something." Devon admitted it quietly, as she handed her Uggs over and gave her shoe size to the woman behind the counter who in turn handed her the fugliest looking shoes Devon had seen. She loved bowling, but she hated the shoes with a passion. It was all part of the fun though, so it wasn't all bad. She held them gingerly in her free hand; Devon always waited until she was at the lane before putting her shoes on. Now that they were there together though, her butterflies were calming down which was better than nothing at least.
