holly was peeved to say the least. not only had she woken up to a horrific hair day, dealt with awful commuting traffic, but now callum was here. east hampton had pretty much been her safe haven for the past two years now. she didn't have any family living here, they were all in new york city. now, callum was in the same city as her. she'd had a crush on him the first day her brother brought him to their house her sophomore year of high school. she always tended to be awkward and shy around him because truly, he was the opposite of everything her parents wanted to push her into. he was the bad boy type and came from a family that had in the past few years found their wealth. holly's parents always hoped she'd fall for some guy with a lovely little trust fund and a well known last name to boot. so she kept her affection towards him a secret. overtime, callum and her grew a little closer much to the dissatisfaction of her brother. he dissaproved of anything going on between them whether he was spotting the beginnings of it or imagining it. regardless, he started to avoid cal. holly was pissed at her brother but never really said anything. it was a secret, remember.
holly never quite knew how callum managed to see her the night she graduated. it'd been some time since he'd been over to her house to hang out with her brother. but she did get to his place later that night. after several hours of talking about old times and future plans, holly worked up the nerve to tell him about her crush. then it happened. she lost her virginity to him. the next few hours were a blur of excuses, leaving, and being upset. within the next week, holly heared of cal's departure. and now here he was a few years later offering apologies and explanations. holly was pissed, and she did not want to see him really. despite how it all played out, she missed the bastard. when she saw him the previous night, all the previous emotions for him came flooding back. she was determined to keep up her ice queen exterior towards him though. it was a pride thing. holly rolled from her bed after several moments of thinking and pacing. she fumbled with her phone and scrolled over to callum's name, debating on whether or not to text him. after a few minutes of going back and forth, she gave in. hey, meet me at the beach. maybe you can make up some more. she texted to him quickly.
holly did not want to sound like she wanted to see him really, but after she thought about it... it really sortof did in a way. exhaling loudly, she pulled on some jeans and a longsleeve shirt with her cardigan. she ran her fingers through her hair, not bothering to brush it, grabbed her keys and was out the door. jumping into her car she popped in a new kings of leon cd and blasted it and within about ten minutes she arrived. jumping out of her car, she headed down to the beach until she found a huge rock close to the shore. she set down and leaned on her elbows thinking. she had feelings for callum still no doubt. she hated that fact. she wanted to be mad at him, but she found difficulty in it. sighing, she let her eyes lift up to the sun high in the sky and flick from cloud to cloud. maybe meeting with him wasn't the best idea she had ever had.
