hello, my name is KELSEY/KELSO. i am SEVENTEEN years young and i consider myself a(n) INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED roleplayer. i found this site through TISSE. so, here's an example of my average post:
-----Izzy was, well for lack of a better word or phrase, different. No she didn't have mental problems, she wasn't crazy, and no one had ever shouted at her to "stop eating the paste." She was different in the sense of her personality and life experiances and had really only come to realize it while on this current tour. Almost every single person had the straight mindset of sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Every person aside from Izzy. In fact, she was a virgin and had barely touched any alcohol in her life. Even in during highschool, rather than go out to some huge party, she'd stay in and hang out with her dad. Oh, but don't get me wrong. As good as she was on the outside didn't mean she had never wanted to do something "bad" for once. Izzy wanted to break the rules as much as the next kid, of course. But she didn't. She never did, and she hated that. Izzy was far to concerned with the way she knew she should act. She wasn't one to want to draw negative attention to herself. In fact, she didn't really ever want to draw attention to herself anyways. She was perfectly fine with being a total behind the scenes person. But of course she never really was completely unoticed. When you worked for a band of any sort there were always certain people who gossiped or made comments about you, your story, how you came to be with the band, who you are probably having sex with in the band, and what drugs you're on. Things like that. Izzy had found anything about herself thus far, but she wasn't exactly looking to hard for it. She was afraid of what she'd find. Izzy was quite the contridiction. Wanted to cause a little trouble, but didn't want to read about it the next day on every gossip site on the internet.
---Sometimes she wanted to be another person just for a day. Someone like. Someone like... Alaska October. Now there was a badass who didn't give a shit if there ever was one. From her flaming orange hair to spunky personality, everything about this girl screamed look at me, "I win at life and you don't so suck it." Izzy was almost jealous. Almost. But she definately admired her more than any other girl she had ever met. Despite there quite obvious differences, Izzy and Allie became good friends around the beggining of tour. And as Izzy had begun to take notice, Allie had taken it upon herself to corrupt her good little friend. Although most the time she refused, she'd done a few crazy things since tour started. Mostly involving wal-mart pranks, but so what. It was a start at the least. Maybe one day she'd do something made of so much complete win that everyone would view her in a different light. Maybe everyone wouldn't think she was a prude or a fun-sucker. Fat chance.
---For as long as Izzy could recall, she'd had the same personality. Goodie two shoes with a inclination to save people. That had been her brand since her mother was killed in a car crash when she was around age three. She took on the role of mom for her dad and brothers. Cleaning up after them. Making sure they showered. Making dinner. She did it all. Maturity came quickly for her. It was her duty, you know? She just wasn't your average nineteen year old. And although people often poked fun at her for being the way she was, around high school she decided to adopt the motto "screw you. I don't give a flying fuck." Although she would never say that aloud. Izzy didn't have a sailor mouth like most of the people she knew. She reserved those for special occasions like when she was mad. And boy could she get mad. Her temper, if it were a color, would be like her hair. Flaming as hell. Luckily she didn't lash out at people much. It was like Halley's Comet. Once every seventy-five years or something. You catch my drift.
---At the current moment, Izzy was walking back from the stage area, camera in tow, ready to get in the bus for the night possibly. Her red hair was piled up on top of her head in attempt to keep her as cool temperatured as possible. No luck though. Today had been hot as hades. It truly was the dog days of summer in her opinion, but she'd grown up in New York. Anything could be terribly hot in her opinion. As she walked, she scanned through the pictures she had taken from the day's Line of Sight set. Some of them weren't half bad, but some were downright terrible in her opinion. Izzy was her hardest critic. She pushed herself to do better at every goal she had. I mean, she had to really. If she was going to make this a profession, Izzy needed to be pretty freaking good at it. She scrunched up her face at a few and deleted some. She needed to compare and contrast with some other photographers. Maybe Lucas. He was damn good at what he did. After going through a few more, Izzy let the camera hang around her neck as she walked on a bit more. She walked past the catering line and grinned a little. Looks like the bands were in full swing with the drinking after thet sets were done. She contemplated grabbing something quick to eat, but nothing really seemed good at the moment. To be honest, she wanted kool-aid and that she had on the bus. Picking up her pace, Izzy arrived to the bus in a matter of minutes. Swinging the door open, she completely basked in the full on air conditioning that hit her as she walked inside. That had to be one of the most glorious feelings ever. There was nothing like going from hot to just right in a few seconds. Nothing at all.
---Izzy pulled the camera off from around her neck and placed it gingerly on a table. She opened the fridge and searched for the kool-aid that she made the previous day. Already it was three-fourths gone. Twenty bucks Seth or Wyatt downed it all. She went ahead and poured a glass. Luckily it had enough for one. Sipping at the contents, Izzy closed the fridge door and made her way to the back lounge to sit. Ah, finally her relaxation time after a hard day's work could begin. This of course lasted about two whole minutes before she heard another voice. A familiar voice. Allie's voice? She sounded drunk out of her mind which brought a slight smile to Izzy's face. Typical Alaska. Coming over to possibly corrup her again. Setting her kool-aid glass down, Izzy made her way back to the front and spotted Allie. "Well, well, well. Look at what we have here. A drunken Alaska October. Do tell me, how in the world did you find the bus?" she asked jokingly. Izzy had a feeling in the pit of her stomach that this night was about to get more interesting than ever.
